All you need to know about LED tubes

LED tubes otherwise known as light emitting diodes are a semi conductor source of light. LED tubes are used as a source of light and are used in all sorts of appliances and electronic devices. They can be seen in lamps, televisions, laptop screens, computer screens, automotive lights, traffic signals, large displays for advertising and what not. LED tubes have gained massive popularity over the years from when it was introduced back in 1962. The most basic and conventional forms of LED omitted low intensity red light. Due to its compact size, durability, narrow wavelength and fast switching, LED tubes are also used in most DVD players and radios.

For starters, it consumer less energy and power which is very important in our present times, where resources are scarce, also it is very small in size and can be used even in the smallest of appliances. It has greater durability and reliability and hence has a greater life span so it does not have to be replaced time and again. It has increased robustness and strength and is able to provide appliances with the brightest of lights. The very first commercial use of LED light was in car neon indicators and large displays that were used for advertising. Then LED tubes were installed in laboratory and hospital equipment. At that time LED tubes were very expensive and could only be used in such devices. However, as its availability increased, prices dropped and LED tubes were installed in all of the electronic devices and household appliances. LED tubes are even used in radios, calculators, watches, telephones and everything you see around you. It is amazing how such a great invention can become so common and so readily available. May be that is what is so good about great inventions, they benefit the masses. With work being done of these LED tubes they are now available in many wavelengths and colors. You can get LED tubes in red, blue, orange, yellow, green, purple, violet and ultraviolet. Since these LED tubes are available in primary colors, they can be used to make any color they want which increases its application. Moreover, there are different types of LED tubes you need to choose from and each has different functions and qualities. The basic types of LED tubes present are miniature, mid range and custom designed LEDs.
