LED Manufacturers; bridging the gap

Manufacturers and suppliers have always been the link between consuming public and new technological researches. Every new product has to be made and its practical implications have to be observed so that it can be improved and tailored to give the most benefit. The products are mainly designed by product designers hired by the manufacturing organization and company. LED manufacturers have played a great role in introducing new and helpful technology to the world. Now if you go to the mall to pick up a few bulbs for your home or office, do look around for LED based lighting system since it is worth the effort in many different ways. LED is an abbreviation for Light Emitting Diode. LEDs are very much like small bulbs. There are many differences between an LED and other lighting devices. Main difference being that LED is not a filament based bulb. Light energy is emitted as waste energy when a diode is attached to the power supply in reverse bias. The electrons vibrate and light waves are given out. There is a range of LEDs which is between 2mm across up till 8mm across.

 

A single LED when lit emits significant amount of light but not enough to make a dark place visible. Therefore, many LEDs are placed on a reflective surface which collectively emit adequate amount of light. Such devices are given a name of ‘LED Lights'. There are many different types of LED lights since there many different demands and situations where lights are generally used. LED modules are the type of lights which are mainly manufactured in such a shape, so that they can be fixed inside a bulb socket. There is usually a round reflective panel containing LEDs and it is attached to the electric supply. People with many bulb sockets in their houses prefer LED Modules which can provide as much light as a common bulb.

 

Another commonly found LED light is LED tube. The external body of the LED tube is very much like the florescent tube light but inside the cylindrical glass casing there is a thin reflective panel containing more than hundred LEDs which collectively emit very bright light. The LED tubes are manufactured in such a way that they can be fitted in the sockets of florescent tube lights. Beside the common lighting purpose, LED lights are also used for decorative purposes. But this was not possible until colorful LEDs were manufactured. LED Manufacturers modified the Light Emitting Diode in such a way they now they can emit light waves of different wavelengths, which means they can create light of different colors. Mainly LEDs of three primary colors are available which are red, green and blue (RGB). By mixing these monochromatic lights one can even create other colors. These colorful LEDs are being embedded into LED Modules and LED tubes to either give out monochromatic light or multicolored light. Other than the LED Modules and LED Tubes, the devices designed for decorative lighting are LED Bars and LED Flex.
