I am a minimalist, I like to watch TV, but I don't own a TV nor do I pay for cable TV unless I am in a hotel or I have no other choice. To be clear, I like watching TV shows and movies that I like- online or on DVD.
TV doesn't rule my life at all, because I am not watching what doesn't interest me. I don't kill time or procrastinate with TV. When I feel like it, I watch it. Watching TV shows or movies isn't a waste of time.
I think if we demonize TV as a ‘waste of time' that isn't productive, then perhaps we can say the same about almost anything we do in life. For instance, calling a friend and talking for hours. I get something out of my interaction with my friend. And I get something out of watching TV.
The point is that TV itself and TV shows aren't the devil's work and what all minimalists are against – it's more how you manage or control your TV watching.
Do you know what I really do hate about TV? Watching re-runs and watching commercials.
That's the reason why my boyfriend installed a headrest DVD player for me in the car. I love it very much. The most important part is that it's not expensive. Because whether I am at home or riding in the car, I can use it to watch any movie I like such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter series, the Transformers and so on. It's detachable.
Every day I enjoy the comfort of sitting on the back seat and watching my favorite movies. It's so great. Often, I will spend my holidays with my boyfriend or some of my best friends. And I like the feeling that chatting with my friends while listening to the music with our headrest car DVD player with abandon.
What are some TV shows or movies you like? What about your girl friend? And how do you watch TV, on a regular one, or online or on DVD like some of us? I believe most of the girls love watching TVs. If you really love your girl friend, install a car DVD product for her. And it is also a good gift option to send to your best friends or your father. I'm sure all of them will like this new electronic product which will bring great entertainment to them.
