Go for family long driving

Going driving with your kids in some countries like Australia is an amazing experience as Australia is so diverse in its beauty. From deserts, rainforests, beautiful beaches with a new view around every corner.

There are some family long-time driving tips and suggestions in Australia which will give you an example of what you can do to make your trip more enjoyable and safer.

To drive around Australia you need to allow at least 6 months or longer so that you can see plenty of the sights along the way.

To give you an idea of size – An example would be to drive from Adelaide in the South to Darwin at the Top End including travelling through Alice Springs in Central Australia.

You should at least have a general itinerary of your trip, carry a map of the area you are going to and a GPS is well worth taking especially if you are going 4 wheel driving.

Always notify a relative or a responsible person where you are going and of your whereabouts at least every few days.

And watching movies while you drive seems an oxymoron idea. Whether you want to give your kids something else to focus on, other than how much time is left in the trip, or put on a movie while you wait for a mechanic to find your location on the roadside, car DVD players from some car DVD Australia websites represent a great way to pass the time.

Watch out for wildlife like kangaroos, wombats, emus, cattle etc. especially around sunrise and sunset.

Always take a mobile phone, but be aware in outback areas your mobile phone most likely won't get any reception away from towns, consider using a satellite phone.

If you are going serious 4 Wheel driving you will need to take extra precautions like taking extra water, more vehicle tools and spares.

Holidaying with children is more work and more fun. They see everything different to the way adults see things and they are always ready for adventure.

Taking photos or pictures of Australia is great fun and it is quite a thrill when you capture that ‘stunning' photo. Australia has thousands of places or things to take photos of.

We are all enjoying the great outdoors in the way that suits us and we all get to enjoy the amazing scenery and experiences. Whenever you are going outside remember to think of safety when travelling. Be aware of vehicle maintenance, children near water or the fire or other issues, be prepared for your trip or holiday properly.
