The New Flip Design BlackBerry Style

BlackBerry is known for doing experiments in the field of mobile phones. BlackBerry was one of the first mobile producers to introduce multi-tasking mobile phones and smart phones. Their signature half keyboard, half screen style is still famous to many. Just last year, BlackBerry took a leap towards Touch Screen smart phones like the BlackBerry Torch. Recently, the company introduced its new tablet called the BlackBerry PlayBook.

Like all these innovative experiments, BlackBerry introduced a new clam-shell design smart phone. This new phone has two screens, one on the front which is of 2 inches in size and shows the time and caller ID. The one on the other side of the flap is a bigger 2.7 inch display. The internal display is brighter and has a very high resolution but, unfortunately, it has only 65,000 colours. However, the images and text are very clear and readable.

The phone has a nice round edged design and is light in weight. It is quite small, as the dimension are 3.8 inches by 2.4 inches. There is a keyboard on the other part of the shell with the signature QWERTY layout. Although the small size of the phone affects the keyboard size, the curved design allows some flexibility in texting. An optical track pad is situated above the keyboard with four additional keys. The navigation with the track pad is a treat as it is quite responsive and fairly easy to use.

The body of the phone accommodates some important features, such as volume control, charging and data port and the headset jack. There is a programmable key as well, which could be used as a shortcut key to any of your favourite apps. The 5-MP camera is at the back with a flash LED, which gives you a recording resolution of 640 x 480. There's a micro SD card slot as well, which is almost beneath the battery cover. The memory of the phone could be extended up to 8 GB.

The BlackBerry's OS 6.0 looks to be updated, which is one reason that the mobile feels very zippy to use. There are lots of apps available with the phone, which are fun to use. The mobile has a good battery backup, which makes it good for multimedia experiences.

The BlackBerry Style is a smart phone for all kinds of users and if you are new to the smart phone mania or an expert user, you will surely enjoy using this stylish phone.

The BlackBerry PlayBook Makes a Grand Entrance

If Stanley Kubrick were still alive today, he would have been moved to tears seeing one of his visions realized and become a culture of its own. In his widely-acclaimed film 2001: A Space Odyssey released as far back as 1968, its characters were portrayed using a wireless tablet device that greatly resembles the tablet computersof today.  This popular gadget didn't really take its roots from an award-winning sci-fi film but from a long history of massive technological evolution. As of today, there's a wide variety of the Tablet PC that comes in different sizes and with fine features.  In the midst of outstanding brands, a new player joins the race and it's from the experts at Research in Motion (RIM), the same people who brought you the BlackBerry smartphone series. Presenting the BlackBerry PlayBook – the latest addition to the long list of tablets in the market.

Released during the first half of 2011, the PlayBook is, in essence, a mobile device which matches up to the functions of the desktop computer. It is powered by the fresh-from-the-oven BlackBerry Tablet OS which is based on the QNX Neutrino real-time operating system which simply means that it is running on a high-speed operating system and hence, a guaranteed quality performance. With a 1 GHZ dual core processor and 1 GB RAM, the PlayBook can definitely get things done.

Touted as the world's first professional-grade tablet, developers particularly set its target market in the corporate world as its high-resolution, multi-touch 7-inch screen is suitable for business-related tasks such as document viewing, editing and sharing.

Your internet browsing experience has become more pleasant than ever with this tablet as it supports Adobe® Flash 10.2 and HTML5. Its multimedia feature is all powered up as well, with high-definition 1080p video recording and playback and two cameras; one is located on the front for real time video chat at 3 megapixels while the second is a 5-megapixel rear camera. And all these are compressed in a beautiful, lightweight design that measures half an inch in thickness and less than a pound in weight.

In true BlackBerry Style, the PlayBook offers the same perks from its excellent line of smartphones. You can still enjoy BBM and applications from the BlackBerry App World.

However, RIM's mission to bring the tablet computer to different heights is not yet over as they pledge to continue to enhance the PlayBook for their valued patrons.

Tablet PCs: New Alternative to Computers and Mobiles

Tablet PC has revolutionized the way people use their mobile phones and laptops to communicate. People always look forward to buying something that is technologically advanced and could ease the method of communicating and documenting. Today, companies like Intel and AMD are manufacturing very small processors that allow these companies to reduce the size of their computers and laptops. Lucky for many, as the size of the processors decrease, the speeds are doubled.

With the manufacture of the small processor smart phones were manufactured. These smart phones can be used to perform most of the operations that could be done on a computer. You can also perform multi-tasking on these smart phones. This allowed people to dream of small palm sized computers that could completely replace the computer. According to the critics, there was a big chance that these smart phones could completely replace the computer. However, the small-sized screen of the phones could not satisfy the needs of the multimedia. Although there are mobiles that have a good screen size for a mobile, like the Samsung Galaxy phones, the BlackBerry Style, etc, this made some innovative companies try something different. Instead of making a mobile that could replace a computer, they opted to develop a computer that could replace the mobile phone.

The answer to this new technique came in the form of the Androids or tablet PCs. They are small sized computers that look like an engorged mobile phone. With just one screen and no physical keyboard, they give a very fictitious look. There are many fast and beautifully designed tablets, like the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Motorola's Xoom. These tablets have some state-of-the-art sensors embedded in them. They can be used to make multimedia videos, as they are equipped with powerful cameras; and you can do documentation on them as well.

All in all, you could perform everything on one platform. You contact your loved ones by making calls and do your office work and documentation. You can also make movies, do multi-tasking, etc, and with such great speeds and memory and an expandable disk space at a pretty affordable price, the tablet PC is surely not a bad option to have. There is a good chance that by the end of this decade, the tablet PC will make laptops extinct, just as the smart phones are doing to conventional mobile phones.
